After spending more than 50 hours testing over 50 different models, we found that the best wireless grill thermometer is the Thermopro TP-07. It comes with a sturdy frame, has a large LCD screen and was very simple to operate. It also has a long range of 300 feet.
The Thermopro TP-07 is a good looking wireless grill thermometer. We liked the range as it could conveniently give readings at 300 feet. We also liked the fact that it comes with a large LCD screen and was also very easy to operate.
On the downside the maximum temperature that the probes could handle is 2500C which is not the best. Also, it is not waterproof which means it is not ideal for outside grilling.
The first thing we noticed with the Maverick ET-733 is the large display. We liked that it could show more information simultaneously. It also comes with 3 probes which allows you to monitor 3 different pieces of meat. We also liked the range as it could still receive wireless signals at 300feet.
The main drawback was that it is not very simple to put the settings. Also, we did notice that the cables for the probes were a bit too short.
The first thing we noticed and liked about the ThermoPro TP-20 is the large LCD screen. It displays both the oven temperature and the food temperature helping you gauge the meat as it cooks. Unlike the ThermoPro TP-08, this one comes with a timer.
The main drawback that we found was the remote unit does not update very fast. The alert also seemed to lose contact. it was also not very simple to set an alarm in case the temperatures got too high or too low.
Unlike the TP-07 the Thermopro TP-08 has a better maximum probe temperature of 3000C. We liked how simple it was to operate as well as the large LCD screen. The range was good at 300 feet and the frame was very sturdy. This wireless grill thermometer also features a long cable length of 40 feet which we liked.
However, we didn’t like the fact that it doesn’t come with a timer. Also, it is not waterproof and doesn’t feature a pouch for storing when not in use.
Similar to the VICTAGEN wireless, the SGODDE digital wireless thermometer also comes with a timer. We liked the fact that ypou could set a target temperature and an alarm would let you know once the temperature was hit. We also liked the LCD display and the fact that it was very easy to use.
On the downside however, the range was not very big and you could only use it as far as 100 feet. We also didn’t like that the SGODDE comes with a single probe.
We instantly liked how simple it was to operate the Maverick ET-732. The probes are very sturdy and we liked the range which was above 300feet. This wireless grill thermometer also has a sturdy build and can be used in the rain. The instruction manual was clear and very easy to go through.
However, there were a few drawbacks. First, we did notice that this grill thermometer tends to lose wireless connection once in a while. It also takes a bit of time to sync all the units together. Also, the non-meat probe was a bit too thick. As for the meat probe, it is a bit sharp so you do need to be careful when handling it.
What we instantly noticed with the MEEKAPOW wireless grill thermometer was the 6 probes that it comes with. We liked this as you could monitor many pieces of meat at the same time. We also like that it comes with 11 preset temperatures for cooking different types of meat and unlike the Thermopro TP-08 it is simple to use.
The main drawback was the wireless range. It was less than200 feet. We also didn’t like that the further away you move the more it tends to lose signal.
The Inkbird Bluetooth wireless thermometer can be controlled with a smartphone by downloading apps from Google Play or App Store. We liked this feature as it makes it simple to control. We also liked that the two probes have a maximum temperature limit of 3000C.
The downside is that the range is limited and it doesn’t use Wi-Fi. Unlike the MEEKAPOW wireless BBQ which has a bright LCD screen, we didn’t like the LED display of the Inkbird as it not very bright.
Unlike the Thermopro TP-08 the VICTAGEN wireless comes with a timer which is something that we particularly enjoyed. It also features 8 preset temperatures for cooking the different types of meat. We also liked how simple it was to operate.
One main drawback was the range and the best it could do was 100 feet. The VICTAGEN is limited in the number of probes that it comes with. It only has one, compared to the MEEKAPOW wireless which has 6. The maximum probe temperature was also not the best at 2500C.
Immediately we noticed the large LCD of the Flamen BBQ. It is also very well built and attractive to look at. We liked the transmitter base which held the thermometer conveniently in place and we did note that it was very simple to operate. Like the VICTAGEN wireless, it also comes with preset temperature settings to assist in cooking different types of meat.
On the downside, the Flamen BBQ comes with a single probe. It also lacks a timer and the 35 meter range is not the best.
This is a device that allows you to monitor the temperature inside the grill while cooking. They usually have probes that you put inside the grill and are called wireless because they communicate via Bluetooth or through wireless network.
The first and most important benefit of a wireless grill thermometer is that it ensures that the meat is completely cooked. This keeps you safe from the pathogens contained in uncooked meat which could otherwise place your health at risk.
By allowing you to monitor both the temperature of the meat and the temperature of the grill, you can bring the two as close as possible to get an evenly well-cooked piece of meat.
Wireless grill thermometer also prevents you from overcooking the meat. You are able to monitor the right temperature and remove the meat before it gets too burnt or overcooked.
Cooking becomes much easier with the wireless grill thermometers. You can simply set the temperature and wait for the meat to cook. When it is ready, you will get an alarm. This means that you do not always have to keep monitoring and you can go along with other chores as the food cooks.
Wireless grill thermometers are also simple to use. All you need to do is set the timer, insert the unit into the meat and that’s it.
The main disadvantage to using wireless grill thermometers is connectivity. They may have trouble connecting with Bluetooth or wireless network. They also may not give you the distance that you need forcing you to remain close to the cooking area.
The price for a wireless grill thermometer ranges from £5 to well over £200. It all depends on the quality.
The first thing to look out for in a wireless grill thermometer is ease of use and set up. You want to go for one that is simple to use.
Also, accuracy is a very important factor. The more accurate the grill thermometer the better it can serve you when cooking.
The essence of using wireless grill thermometers is being able to leave the meat cooking for a while so range is important. The larger the distance of connectivity the better. Anything above 300 feet can be considered ideal.
The quality of the wireless grill thermometer cannot be overlooked. High quality units will serve you for many years.
Lastly consider the price. Often better-quality models will come with a higher price tag. Go for the highest price you can afford.
