    Laser X 88016 2-Player Laser Tag Toy

    Lee

Create your own laser quest arena with you and a friend with this Laser X Two Player Set, featuring twin blasters with a range of up to an amazing 300 feet, this is easily one of the furthest shooting blaster sets on the market.

Included in the packaging are two high quality laser guns, a futuristic looking chest mounted receiver vest and a voice guided assistant that helps you win the batter through tips and help while playing. When coupled with some pretty lighting affect and monitor to help you keeps tabs on who is winning this really is a great two player system.

The Laser X comes preloaded with 3 built-in games designed to improve you shooting skills and accuracy.

This 2-player tag guns can be used for both indoor and outdoor activities at any time of the day. Unlike other laser games, this set features dedicated receiver vest. The vest continuously changes colours after every hit and eliminates the player after 10 hits.

For ages 6+.  Can also be used in Single player mode with one unit used as a range target, so now you can practice with your aim.  Works equally in both daylight and night time conditions.  Requires 6AAA batteries which are not included.  We recommend investing in some rechargeable batteries because our tests found that this system does not last long on regular batteries.

All Laser X games are compatible so you can buy multiple sets to team up with larger groups.

    The Good
    • Range of up to 300ft (60m)
    • Can be linked up to other Laser X systems
    • Can be used both indoors and outdoors
    • Works in single and double player mode
    • Voice guidance system

4 Light Battle Active laser tag toy guns Review

    Lee

The ultimate in 4 team laser battle technology, or at least that’s what the manufacturers claim, we put our laser tag specialists to the quest of finding out just how good this system was.

With the capacity for unlimited numbers of players in each team and the added bonus of choosing from 4 ammunition types  the Light Battle system really does offer great flexibility and should keep your laser battles fun and fresh.

The team colours are made up of red, white, green and blue and ammunition also comes in 4 options including hand gun, shotgun, machine and the fierce rocket launcher.

Features include a quick access reload button and built in force feedback vibration for added realism, you also have a visual display to help keep tabs on how many lives you have left.

Loaded with light and sound affect, and an accurate infrared transmitter and the often overlooked on/off switch this really feels like a sturdy piece of kit.  Is it better than the Laser X.  We’re not sure it quiets get there.

With an impressive range of 50m and built in games such as capture the flag, hunt the VIP which can be used with the units as targets.

These 4 Battle Tag Guns do not require a dedicated vest yet they are the target. Features of all 4 blasters vary and they incorporate different connectivity range, stoppage power, and reload times.

These infrared light beam guns use safe, harmless and invisible infrared technology just like a remote control of a TV, making them much safer than guns that shoot with a plastic and foam bullet.

Not suitable for anyone under 3 due to small parts.

    The Good
    • Different types of ammunition make the game more interesting
    • Harmless infrared technology
    • Has a gauge which tracks the amount of lives left
    • Four guns, more than are usually supplied
    The Bad
    • Some users complained that it is too sensitive
    • Extra accessories that facilitate playing other games cost extra.

Nerf Lazer Tag Phoenix LTX Tagger 2-Pack Review

Nerf laser guns are one of the oldest and most reliable laser guns on the market and no review line up would be complete with out them.

Featuring two high quality toy guns in striking blue and gold making it easier to spot your team players in multiplayer mode. There is no need to wear receiver vests as the guns themselves are the target. Players can use multiple sets to form a larger team as they are all compatible with one another.

This set infrared settings for both indoor and outdoor use and also incorporates an option for solo or team play. In case of handicap, 25 lives vs 10 lives options are also available. The amazing meter on the Nerf gun keeps reminding of how close you are to the victory.

Unlike the Nerf n Strike and the Nerf n Strike Elite models that use foam bullets, these guns use harmless infrared rays. This makes them a far safer option for younger children.

The Nerf guns feature an indoor/outdoor setting with variable sensitivity and a range of sound effects which can be a little annoying at times. But coupled with the force feedback and recoil this really does add to the realism factor.

The units also feature a top mounted visual light displaying showing your current ammunition levels and strength indicator.

6AAA Batteries are a major negative.

    The Good
    • Option for indoor and outdoor settings
    • Solo and team player options
    • Life meter to gauge progress
    • Receiver vests not necessary
    The Bad
    • Some users complained about accuracy
    • More expensive than other units
    • Noises can be annoying
    • Requires a lot of batteries

Dynasty Laser Tag Battle Pack Review

    Lee

The Dynasty laser tag set consists of two hand units packed in a cool secret service style carry case.  The units are quite heavy and have a quality feel to them.  Featured in light and white with a shielded trigger feature.

Multiple Dynasty sets can be linked together for large multiplayer team games with 4 team games setting built it.

For those players who prefer vest free units then this is the tag toy got you, the target is built directly into the hand unit so no need to worrying about charging your chest packs. The Dynasty is a true point and play toy and games are set up within seconds of removing them from the cool carry case.  The unite require 8AA batteries in total and are suitable for ages 6+

In our test the range of these units seem to reduce in accuracy at distances over 25m which was disappointing, but they are a great laser tag solution for younger children playing in smaller places.

Team sizes can be increased by connecting multiple units. Audible noises and flashing units indicate when a hit has been made.

Fun for the less experienced but expected better for the price.

    The Good
    • Cool sturdy carry case
    • Less restrictive as no vest is needed
    • Customisation of teams is available
    • Quality feel
    The Bad
    • Some users had lighting complaints
    • Only comes with two blasters.
    • Shooting distance not great

ToyStar Laser Tag Combat X-1000 Review

    Lee

The ToysStar laser tag Combat brings a whole new level to the world of laser tag quests.  Are you ready to battle?  With the new laser pistol and rifle guns the battle just got serious.

With unlimited players and a dual combination of rifle or pistol and featuring 4 weapon modes.

    • Single shot
    • Laser gun
    • Machine gun
    • Plasma gun

How cool is that?  The hand units also all you to control team selection by simply cycling through the available teams and choosing which team colour you wish to join. Other players can then see which team you are on.

With vibrating guns to add a sense of danger and make the thrills all that more real, when coupled with the futuristic battle action sounds these guns are some of the best we tested. And they look pretty cool too, if a little on the big and heavy side for some of the younger players.

Each unit requires 3 x AA batteries and gaming is recommended for ages 12+ which we will is a little on the high side.  Many of the other laser tag sets are aiming at ages 6+. so this really is for the older kids.

    The Good
    • 60m Range
    • Unlimited Players
    • 4 Battle Modes
    • Reload button for additional ammunition
    The Bad
    • Quite large and heavy

ArmoGear Infrared Laser Tag Guns and Vests

    Lee

Authentic laser game brought to you by ArmoGear.  This 4 player laser tag gun and vest system is really cool and we had a lot of fun playing with it.

The units are quit sturdy and feel good quality and the vests are not too big and sit really well on the chest. Each gun is paired with its own chest pack and the colours are blue, green, red and orange.  The colours of the actual vests can be hard to see in low light and we feel that the vests should be lit up in their appropriate team colours to make identification a bit easier.

The actual operation of the guns is really quite basic but you do have 4 ammo modes to choose from, pistol, rocket, machine gun and shotgun.

Vibrations and cool lighting complete the look and feel.  These unites chew through a mountain of batteries with each unit requiring 3 AAA batteries and a further 3 in the chest packs which totals 24 batteries for the complete package.  So you are really going to need to invest in a battery charger which could get expensive.

    The Good
    • Simple to operatate
    • Good ammo modes
    • Quality feel
    The Bad
    • Chest pack colours not easy to see
    • Huge amount of batteries
