William J McCorkel is currently serving a 24 year prison sentence. You may remember his informercial showing him, his pretty wife and his Lear jet he got at auction. On his infomercials, he would tell the viewers how much money they could make at auctions. He said you could get products for pennies because nobody else ever showed up at most auctions.
