The body is actually much easier than the headline because you’ve already got the readers attention with the headline. So now that you have the reader exactly where you want them, it’s just time to get them to do one last thing.And that’s take some sort of action. You just need them to do one simple task.
Don’t try to get them to buy right from your ad! Trying to sell them and close the deal right in your ad is a huge mistake. Instead, just get them to take that one simple step. Ask them to do one thing that doesn’t involve spending money and that is this: Since almost everyone has access to a computer and the internet these days, it’s now becoming possible to just tell them to visit your website in your ad body. But it’s best if you can give them more than one option in your call to action. If you can say “Call now to get full details from our 24 hour recorded message at 1-800-000-0000 or just visit our website at: http://www.yourwebsite.com”
Giving them both options like the example above usually works best but like I said, you can sometimes get away with just providing them with your website address. It’s impossible to put to much focus on your sales letter body.
