Lonnie Scruggs books on real estate investing are good reading, and quite affordable too. His two books are “Making Money With Mobile Homes”, and “Deals on Wheels: How to Buy, Sell, and Finance Used Mobile Homes for Big Profits and Cash Flow”. He also created a “Deals on Wheels Home Study Course” that he sells for around two hundred dollars.

Scruggs owned, rented, and managed his own rental properties for over 25 years. He eventually got burned-out and sold all his rental properties. Scruggs then began investing in discounted notes. He developed his own specialty in used mobile home notes, and now teaches this to others.

Lonnie Scruggs doesn’t try to milk would-be investors for all they’ve got with inflated prices or claim to be some kind of real state genius. He just tells it like it is from his own personal experience of making money at it. He’s quite humble about the whole thing. Most people who have read his stuff say it’s some of the best they’ve read.

There is only one problem with this type of business. Once the system and techniques in this niche market become well known, it’s no longer a niche market. These deals become harder and harder to make and locate because there are so many people out there all trying to do the same thing. This is one of the most fiercely competitive businesses I’ve ever seen.

There are also problems dealing with mobile homes and the type of people that ususally live in them. Don’t get me wrong. I’m sure there’s a lot of nice people living in mobile homes, but I’m sure you know the reputation they have.
