John Scevola is the author of “Sales Dragon: The Ancient Secrets of Sales” and “Sales Dragon 2 : The Ageless Power of Sales Perseverance”. These are about how Ancient Chinese philosophy applies to success and sales, and includes over 2,000 quotes.

While probably a heavy read all at one time, it’s most likely intended to give you phrases to browse for inspiration and see what people in ancient times were thinking about the age old profession of salesmanship. The Amazon.com reviews except for two looked highly doubtful, they were short 5 star reviews with single word titles and the reviewers didn’t do reviews of anything except that one tag line review for this title.

It would have been much more convincing to see nothing at all that these seeded reviews for the title which detracts from any credibility. One person even mentioned this in their own review of the first John Scevola title. Overall I’d recommend this possibly for overcoming writers block with some random inspiration, but there’s many other titles out there that are more useful I’d read first. John Scevola has taken a very original approach with the sea of self help books out there, but there’s more practical books out there for the marketing profession.
