Brixdale is company which markets the Inverse MortgageTM. The Inverse MortgageTM is supposed to be a revolutionary way to pay of your mortgage in a little as 6 months, or if you don’t even have a mortgage, will allow you to stop paying rent and start saving to buy a home.

There appears to be some controversy surrounding this company and their product. There is quite a bit of information on scam.com regarding the Brixdale product of the Inverse MortgageTM. From what I can tell, this program is similar to a bi-weekly payment program. There have also been concerns about whether this will create a tax issue with the IRS for some homeowners.

Any real estate related business may be risky, and since the product offered by Brixdale is something that is still not well defined, I think it may not be wise at this time and perhaps the better idea would be to stay with a traditional mortgage. At this point I don’t recommend Brixdale or this type of mortgage program.
