The best thing to do is first take a good long look at your website to determine which images you can simply remove. There are also some simple ways to reduce the size of the images that you want to remain on your site. Your best bet is to talk to my website developer/designer and have him reduce the size of your website. Often times, by reducing the size and load time of your website, you’ll end up with a much nicer, cleaner, stream-line looking website.
There is another way a website can become over-cluttered that most people don’t even think about. And that’s by having too many different offers or too many different products or services that are not directly related. Most people try to cram 2 or 3 or even 10 entirely different businesses on to one single website. This is going to confuse people and cause them to leave your website quicker than anything. Again, internet surfers/shoppers are impatient and very few of them will not take the time to sort through a bunch of different categories and subjects. The only exception to this rule is if you’re using the Double Payment principle I talked about earlier at DoublePayment.com
If you have several different businesses, products, or services, the solution is to create a different website for each of them. You can get a domain name for as little as $9 and hosting for as little as $4 a month, so it’s very affordable and easy to set up multiple websites. And by having your different products, services, or businesses separated into completely different websites, you’ll have any an easier time tracking the results of each one. Imagine how easy it will be to track your conversion rate and effectiveness of your ads if you can test each product or service by itself to see which of your websites becomes the most popular and has the best conversion rates.
Also, having multiple websites has another advantage that most people don’t even think about. You can link each of your websites to each other and use a technique called “Cross Marketing” to get more leverage from your advertising. I’ll go over “Cross Marketing” more in the pages to come. But first..
The biggest advantage of having multiple websites is this fact: Right now search engines are much more likely to give your website a high ranking if other websites that are in related industries are linking to you. So by linking your websites to each other, you will end up getting betting quality search listings for each of your websites. As far as the search engines are concerned, you’re website is more valuable and popular if others are linking to it. So you can make your website popular and valuable just by linking to it yourself.
