In-between knocking out his weekly columns, Bob Bruss has written several books, including “The California Foreclosure Book”, “The Smart Investor’s Guide to Real Estate” and the college textbook “California Real Estate Law”.
Bob Bruss, a California real estate attorney, is a former director of the National Association of Real Estate Editors, a real estate broker and a hugely prolific writer. Sometimes referred to as the “Dear Abby of real estate”, he writes a weekly syndicated “Real Estate Mailbag” Q&A column, plus three different regular columns that appear in about 150 newspapers. He’s been doing that for over twenty years.
Bruss also writes two monthly newsletters: the “Robert Bruss National Real Estate Newsletter” and the “Robert Bruss Real Estate Law Newsletter”, which he sells on his website. He’s also produced a huge list of special reports with titles such as “How to Avoid Buying a Bad Condo”, “How to Buy Your Next Home Even If You Don’t Have Perfect Credit”, and “How to Become a Super-Successful Real Estate Negotiator”. There’s plenty more.
Bob Bruss knows his stuff. This guy knows real estate likes it’s breathing to him. He’s also down-to-earth, and doesn’t charge over the top for his words of wisdom. (His special reports are priced at $4 each, and his newsletters cost $35 a year). It’s just that there are so many of his words in print, uncounted millions of them and thousands more each week, that I can’t help wondering if he’s not pumping out the same ideas re-hashed 100 ways to keep his pockets fat. But I shouldn’t be negative about this guy because he appears to be the real deal.
